Hope you can join us for a great program on Charles Messier by Dr. Irwin Horowitz. Mr Messier,and friends, of the 'that's not a comet' list, fame, created a popular and fun  list of 110 objects that can be seen with a moderate sized telescope

there will be several different ways you can attend this event:1)  in person with other BAS members at CWI Main building in Nampa. 2)You can access the meeting via zoom, with a code which we will make available the day before.

Location:  CWI's main Building  in Nampa (Note this location change. The general meeting will not be at anser charter school

First, the talk will be on the life of Charles Messier (actually Charles Messier and his "not a comet" catalog). I will discuss the Messier Marathon at the end of the talk but it won't be the primary focus of the presentation. The meeting room is on the 3rd floor of the main campus building, which is located just off of Idaho Center Blvd about 1/2 mile north of the Idaho Center. There is active construction going on around that building so you should park in the rear parking lot (on the east side of the building) and enter through the main entrance on that side. The elevators (and restrooms) will be to the right around the corner and the classroom will be all the way across the 3rd floor to the other end of the building. There is limited seating (about 30 - 35 chairs in the room, and yes, they are more comfortable than the tables at Anser). There will also be an option to attend via zoom. I will provide the zoom invite link on Wednesday in both our groups.io page as well as on our Facebook page.
